The official website of Indore Police has been hacked allegedly by a Pakistan-based hacker, prompting the department to block a section of the page.
The 'Contact Us' section of the Indore Police website was hacked on Tuesday and objectionable content about Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with slogans like "free Kashmir" were posted on it.
Hackers attacked the website’s ‘Contact Us’ section which carries details, designations and phone numbers of senior Madhya Pradesh Police officers, including director general of police, inspector general of the Indore range and other personnel, they said.
As per the official. One 'Muhammad Bilal Team PCE' claimed to have hacked the website. A senior police official said the accused will be held soon. A specialised team is working to trace the IP address from which the website was tampered with.
Efforts were being made with the help of technical experts to restore the website to its original form, Additional Superintendent of Police Guruprasad Parashar said. We are conducting an in-depth probe into the matter to get details about the hackers and will take appropriate steps accordingly
