Infosys signs deal with existing client to provide AI services with $2 billion target spend

Infosys has inked an agreement with an existing client to provide Artificial Intelligence (AI) and automation services that will span over five years, with a target spend estimated at $2 billion. AI and automation-related development, modernisation and maintenance services are included in the agreement, the company said.
In May, Infosys launched a new platform named Infosys Topaz that brings a combination of data analytics and generative AI. The new platform aims to create efficiencies across the enterprise by using smart tools, platforms, and autonomous software engineering for business agility.
The announcement by Infosys comes at a time when its competitors like TCS and Wipro have announced plans to delve deeper into generative AI technology.
