Vyoma.AI, part of L&T, has built India's largest single AI computing cluster for Together AI, a U.S.-based AI cloud company, the firm said. The system is called an NVIDIA B300 AI Factory and is run by Vyoma's subsidiary, LTN Compute.
The cluster will help Together AI run its AI Native Cloud platform, which handles large AI jobs such as running models, fine-tuning them, and training new ones, the company said.
The AI Factory has 10,000 NVIDIA B300 GPUs, the powerful chips used to run AI programs. It's housed at Vyoma's data center in Chennai, which the company says is built for very large-scale power needs. The first phase of the site is designed to handle 250 megawatts of power, with 150 MVA of power infrastructure ready to use, Vyoma said. The company said the campus can grow further to support future AI projects.
The system brings together several pieces needed to run AI at scale — powerful computers, fast networking, high-speed data connections, and large storage systems — so customers can set up and run AI projects more easily, according to the company.
S.N. Subrahmanyan, chairman and managing director of Larsen & Toubro, called the project an important step for the company. "Our deployment of an NVIDIA B300 AI Factory for Together AI marks a significant milestone in L&T's Gigawatt AI Infrastructure Mission and reinforces our commitment to making India a global hub for next-generation AI infrastructure," he said.
Vipul Ved Prakash, co-founder and CEO of Together AI, said the size of the AI buildout worldwide is why his company chose to work with L&T. "Making AI globally accessible is going to be the biggest infrastructure build-out in human history, and L&T understands that," he said. "That's exactly why we partnered with them — to bring the scale, resilience and engineering excellence this moment demands to India."
LTN Compute, the L&T unit behind the project, is building AI infrastructure across India, including large data centers, cloud platforms, and GPU rental services, aimed at governments, businesses, and AI companies, the firm said.
