Mohd Shadab Siddiqui quits Ola

Mohd Shadab Siddiqui, the head of information security, fraud, risk and compliance at Ola has quit. He has been at Ola for four and a half years.
At Ola, Siddiqui was primarily responsible for proactive security guidance, security research, risk/threat modelling and for defining clear security roadmaps for product teams. The team also evangelized compelling business cases for investing in security improvements by product teams for car hardware security, infrastructure security, data security, GRC, application security and many others.
Siddiqui has extensive experience building things from ground up in start-ups for e-commerce, payment gateways, mobile ecosystem, logistics products, and digital signing. He has hands-on experience in building security automation, real-time detection of attack anomalies, evangelizing security, designing policies, compliance, cryptography and ensuring the product security is kept robust.
Siddiqui had been instrumental in building the complete infrastructure to protect all personally identifiable information (PII). He was also responsible for business critical data across all data stores. All data was encrypted and there was no impact on business as dashboards were built on older data for business critical data, on open source and most of the code was written in-house.
Siddiqui was the security engineer at Adobe Echosign prior to joining Ola. He has also worked as one of the first security engineers at Flipkart; cyber crime officer (consultant) at Lucknow Cyber Crime Department and founded his own security start-up .
