Motorola’s latest G-series smartphone combines a premium satin-inspired design with a 50MP Sony LYTIA camera, Snapdragon processor, 120Hz display and 7000mAh battery, targeting consumers seeking performance, durability and long-lasting usage.
Motorola has expanded its G-series portfolio in India with the launch of the new moto g max, combining a premium design with photography, performance and battery-focused features. The smartphone comes with a 50MP Sony LYTIA 600 camera system, Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor, 6.72-inch 120Hz Full HD+ display and a 7000mAh silicon-carbon battery.
The device is available in PANTONE Stargazer, PANTONE Alaskan Blue and PANTONE Malaga colour options. It features a satin-inspired finish designed to reduce fingerprints and smudges, along with an ergonomic profile aimed at providing a comfortable grip.

Camera and performance take centre stage
The moto g max features a 50MP Sony LYTIA 600 primary camera with Quad Pixel technology, accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 32MP front camera. Motorola has also included features such as Auto Night Vision, Night Vision, Super Zoom, Dual Capture and Pro Mode.
The camera system is supported by AI-based photography tools and Google Photos editing capabilities. Features including Magic Eraser, Photo Unblur, Reimagine, Auto Frame and Portrait Blur are designed to simplify photo enhancement and editing.
For performance, the smartphone uses the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor based on a 4nm process, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. RAM Boost can also use available storage as virtual memory to support multitasking.
The 6.72-inch Full HD+ display offers a 120Hz refresh rate, Display Color Boost and up to 1050 nits of brightness. Water Touch technology is designed to maintain touch responsiveness when the display is wet.

Large battery and durable build
Battery life is another key focus of the moto g max. Its 7000mAh silicon-carbon battery is claimed to provide up to three days of battery life and supports 33W TurboPower charging. Motorola says the battery is designed to maintain reliable performance for up to 1,000 charging cycles.
The smartphone also features Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, MIL-STD-810H certification and an SGS-certified IP64 water-resistant design. For entertainment, it includes stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, Hi-Res Audio, dual microphones and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
“At Motorola, we believe a smartphone is no longer just a device — it is an expression of how we live, work and experience the world around us. With the new moto g max, we have brought together a premium design and luxurious satin finish with powerful photography, exceptional battery life, smooth performance and durability, creating a smartphone that is designed to complement today’s dynamic lifestyles. The moto g max runs Android 16 and includes Google Gemini, Moto Secure and ThinkShield for Mobile. Motorola has promised two Android OS upgrades and three years of security updates.
The 6GB RAM + 128GB variant is priced at ₹27,999, with a ₹1,000 instant bank discount bringing the net effective price to ₹26,999. The smartphone will go on sale from August 20, 2026, through Flipkart, Motorola.in and leading retail stores across India.
