Tesla CEO Elon Musk has challenged Twitter Inc CEO Parag Agrawal to a public debate about the percentage of bots on the social media platform.
He tweeted: “I hereby challenge @paraga to a public debate about the Twitter bot percentage. Let him prove to the public that Twitter has <5% fake or spam daily users!” Musk proclaimed to all 102 million members of his forum.
He tweeted about the challenge and also started a poll asking users whether less than 5% of Twitter daily users are fake/spam. So far, 67.2 percent of users picked the no option. The poll results will almost naturally be skewed in Musk’s favor.
Musk recently said that if Twitter could provide its method of sampling 100 accounts and how it confirmed that the accounts are real, his deal to buy the company should proceed on its original terms. Recently, Twitter dismissed a claim by Musk that he was deceived into signing a $44 billion agreement to buy the company.
