Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik launched 13 industrial projects worth Rs 2359.29 crore that will help in creating employment opportunities for over 3,200 persons in the state.
He virtually inaugurated two industrial units with investment of Rs 409.03 crore and performed groundbreaking for 11 projects with a collective investment of Rs 1,950.26 crore. The 13 projects are spread over nine districts across small, medium as well as large industries.
"Today's event, where we launched new industrial projects of diverse sectors -- ranging from cement, food processing, tourism to logistics -- is a proof that our efforts in attracting investments have borne fruit," Patnaik said.
The Chief Minister also inaugurated a bio-degradable tableware manufacturing unit at growth centre phase-II in Balangir by Swosti Ecowares with an investment of Rs 9.03 crore.
Patnaik also said that the state government’s progressive policy framework and regulatory environment has enabled the rapid growth of industries in the state. The implementations of ease of doing business reforms and facilitation provided by various departments have ensured that businesses continue to grow in the state, he added.
