Nazara acquires WildWorks
2022-08-31Gaming and sports media platform Nazara Technologies has acquired 100% share capital of Delaware-based kids gaming firm WildWorks Inc. in an all-cash deal from their existing shareholders at an aggregate amount of $10.40 million.
WildWorks develops games focused on the children’s market available on iOS and Android mobile devices as well as on desktops. WildWorks builds mobile and desktop-based educational games including Animal Jam and Tag with Ryan for children between the age group of 8-12.
Clark Stacey, Founder and CEO of WildWorks, said, “Joining Nazara enables a new phase of growth and international reach for WildWorks and our games. Our company goal has always been ‘Fun with Substance.’ So, of paramount importance for us, was finding a partner who shared our commitment to improving kids’ lives through play and earning the trust of parents.”
WildWorks will continue to run the business with its original Co-founders Clark Stacey and Jeff Amis, after the merger and acquisition. Mumbai-based Nazara operates several gaming and media platforms including the World Cricket Championship, CarromClashKiddopia, NODWIN, PublishMe, Sportskeeda, OpenPlay, Halaplay and Qunami, among others. The company claims to have a presence across the globe including India, Africa and North America.
