With 79% of leaders citing unified data as key to AI success, NetApp’s intelligent infrastructure eliminates silos, supports real-time document retrieval, and helps enterprises build high-performance AI factories to tackle complex, multi-step business challenges.
In a major push to strengthen enterprise AI capabilities, NetApp has partnered with NVIDIA to integrate the NVIDIA AI Data Platform into its NetApp AIPod solution. This NetApp NVIDIA partnership is set to transform AI development by providing businesses with powerful tools to build, scale, and govern AI workloads—especially those involving agentic AI systems.
At the heart of this collaboration lies the fusion of NetApp ONTAP intelligent data infrastructure with NVIDIA NeMo Retriever microservices, which are optimized for retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and inferencing. This means enterprises can now build AI-powered applications that are not only faster but also more intelligent, reliable, and context-aware—capable of tackling complex, multi-step business tasks autonomously.

“We have always believed that a unified approach to data storage is essential for businesses to get the most out of their data. The rise of agentic AI has only reinforced that truly unified data storage goes beyond just multi-protocol storage. Businesses need to eliminate silos throughout their entire IT environment, whether on-premises and in the cloud, and across every business function, and we are working with NVIDIA to deliver connected storage for the unique demands of AI,” said Sandeep Singh, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Enterprise Storage,NetApp.
As the AI ecosystem evolves in 2025, demand for advanced AI development tools continues to soar. According to recent research cited by NetApp, 79% of business and IT leaders believe that unified data is crucial to unlocking AI’s full potential. The NetApp-NVIDIA AI integration directly addresses this need by eliminating data silos, enabling real-time document retrieval, and delivering secure, scalable, and governed AI data pipelines.
“The NVIDIA AI Data Platform reference design and NetApp’s high-powered storage and mature data management capabilities bring AI directly to business data and drive unprecedented productivity,” said Rob Davis, Vice President of Storage Technology at NVIDIA.
This NVIDIA AI collaboration further positions both companies at the forefront of AI innovation. For NetApp, it marks a significant step in its mission to provide intelligent data infrastructure for AI-driven enterprises. For NVIDIA, it enhances the reach and impact of its NeMo framework and expands its footprint in the enterprise AI market.
As more enterprises look to operationalize AI at scale, the NetApp and NVIDIA AI partnership could become a model for delivering trusted, production-ready AI that integrates deeply with business processes. With the rapid growth of AI adoption across industries—from healthcare and finance to manufacturing and retail—this collaboration sets a new benchmark in building flexible, future-proof AI ecosystems ready for the demands of 2025 and beyond.
