WhatsApp is set to introduce a new feature that will allow Android users to customize their chat interface with various themes. This enhancement aims to improve user experience by enabling greater personalization options, allowing individuals to tailor their chat backgrounds and overall aesthetics to their preferences.
According to a report, WhatsApp for Android is allegedly working on a new feature that would let users select basic themes and chat bubble patterns from a variety of styles. This feature is intended to improve personalisation options; it was observed in beta version 2.24.20.12. A later release may also make it possible to include contacts in status updates.
The latest beta version of WhatsApp for Android offers 11 default chat themes, allowing users to customize the appearance of their individual chats. These themes adapt to the device's light or dark mode, ensuring a visually appealing experience at any time. In dark mode, users can adjust brightness levels and colors of chat bubbles and backgrounds for optimal viewing.
Selecting a theme will change the wallpaper and chat bubble colors to create a cohesive look, with each theme featuring a curated palette that complements the overall design. This enhancement promises to enhance personalization and user engagement on the platform.
This move follows a broader trend among messaging platforms to offer more customizable features, enhancing user engagement and satisfaction. Keep an eye out for updates as this feature rolls out!
