Nothing unveils Phone (4a) series with premium design, advanced cameras and AI-powered features
The new smartphone lineup from Nothing introduces upgraded design, improved imaging capabilities, enhanced performance powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon processors, and AI-powered software features aimed at redefining expectations in the competitive mid-range smartphone market.
London-headquartered consumer tech brand Nothing has introduced its latest smartphone lineup, the Phone (4a) series, aiming to raise the bar in the mid-range segment with enhanced design, performance and camera capabilities.
The series includes two models — Phone (4a) and Phone (4a) Pro — both designed to combine aesthetic innovation with improved durability and advanced features. The new devices build on Nothing’s distinctive transparent design language while introducing upgraded materials, bolder colour choices and refined finishes.
The Phone (4a) Pro features a slim 7.95 mm profile and a precision-crafted metal unibody construction, making it the thinnest device in the company’s portfolio so far. The handset integrates the signature transparent back panel with internal components partially visible, offering the brand’s familiar visual identity. Both models also come with dust and water resistance ratings and reinforced structural elements for improved durability.
Colour options vary between models, with the Pro variant available in black, silver and metallic pink, while the Phone (4a) comes in black, white, blue and pink.
Camera and display enhancements
The Phone (4a) Pro places strong emphasis on photography, featuring a Sony LYT700c main sensor with optical image stabilisation and a 50-megapixel telephoto lens capable of high-range zoom capabilities. The device also includes an ultra-wide lens and a 32-megapixel front camera to support a range of shooting scenarios.
Meanwhile, the standard Phone (4a) also offers a triple-camera system led by a 50-megapixel main sensor and telephoto lens, supported by AI-powered image processing features and enhanced computational photography.
Both models incorporate the company’s updated imaging engine designed to improve colour accuracy, contrast and low-light performance.
Display technology has also been upgraded. The Phone (4a) Pro sports a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, while the Phone (4a) includes a slightly smaller 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. Both screens support high brightness levels and are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.
Performance, software and Glyph interface
Powering the Phone (4a) Pro is the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, delivering improved CPU, graphics and AI performance compared with earlier models. The Phone (4a), on the other hand, runs on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 platform, offering faster processing and better energy efficiency.
Both smartphones run on Nothing OS 4.1, built on the latest version of the Android operating system. The software introduces a refreshed interface, enhanced customisation features and new AI-powered tools designed to improve productivity and device personalisation.
A key highlight remains the brand’s distinctive Glyph lighting system. The Phone (4a) features a new Glyph Bar with multiple mini-LED zones that provide visual alerts for notifications, calls and charging status. The Pro model expands this concept further with a larger Glyph Matrix display that enables more detailed notification patterns and interactive light features.
Pricing, availability and launch offers
In India, the Phone (4a) will start at ₹31,999 for the base 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, while the Phone (4a) Pro begins at ₹39,999. Both devices will be available in multiple configurations with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.
The smartphones will go on sale starting March 13 through platforms such as Flipkart, Reliance Digital, Croma and other retail outlets across India.
As part of introductory offers, customers can avail bank discounts, exchange benefits and no-cost EMI options, bringing the effective starting prices down to ₹24,999 for the Phone (4a) and ₹34,999 for the Phone (4a) Pro.
The company will also host a limited early sales event at its retail store in Bengaluru, allowing select buyers to purchase the Phone (4a) ahead of the official market release.
