The expanded partnership will combine Nvidia’s AI technologies with LG’s manufacturing expertise to accelerate the development of humanoid robots, AI factories, autonomous systems, and next-generation data centres across industrial and enterprise environments.
Nvidia has strengthened its strategic relationship with South Korea’s LG Group, broadening collaboration across artificial intelligence, robotics, manufacturing, mobility, and data centre technologies as both companies seek to capitalize on the growing demand for AI-driven industrial transformation.
The expanded cooperation was discussed during a meeting in Seoul between Nvidia Chief Executive Officer Jensen Huang and LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo. The discussions focused on exploring new opportunities to integrate advanced AI technologies into a wide range of industrial and commercial applications, including humanoid robotics and future-ready computing infrastructure.
The partnership reflects the increasing convergence of AI software, robotics, and manufacturing as companies worldwide invest in intelligent automation to improve efficiency and create new business models.
Focus on AI factories and next-generation data centres
A key pillar of the collaboration is the joint development of advanced AI infrastructure. Nvidia and LG are already working together on a next-generation AI factory initiative designed to support the creation, training, and deployment of AI-powered applications at scale.
By combining Nvidia’s AI computing platform with LG’s expertise in manufacturing systems, consumer technologies, and smart devices, the companies aim to establish a comprehensive ecosystem for AI innovation. The framework is expected to support the entire AI lifecycle, from model development and simulation to deployment in real-world environments.
The collaboration will also extend to the design of future data centres capable of handling increasingly complex AI workloads. These facilities are expected to play a critical role in supporting applications such as autonomous mobility, cloud-based AI services, intelligent automation, and robotics.
Accelerating humanoid robot development
Robotics has emerged as another major area of focus under the expanded alliance. LG Electronics plans to utilize Nvidia’s Isaac robotics platform and simulation technologies to build and evaluate robotic systems in virtual environments before deploying them in real-world settings.
The companies are also exploring the development of humanoid and modular robotic platforms powered by Nvidia’s AI models. Such systems could be deployed across manufacturing facilities, logistics operations, and other industrial environments where automation is becoming increasingly important.
Other LG affiliates are expected to contribute specialized capabilities to the initiative. LG Innotek will support the effort through robotics-related components, while LG CNS plans to integrate Nvidia technologies into industrial software platforms and smart manufacturing solutions.
The expanded partnership underscores a broader industry shift toward combining AI computing with physical automation, as technology companies race to bring intelligent robots and advanced industrial systems from research environments into practical, large-scale commercial use.
