Paytm, under the ownership of One 97 Communications Limited (OCL), has promoted Deependra Singh Rathore to the position of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for its payments division, according to a recent company filing.
Deependra Singh Rathore, with over two decades of experience in the technology sector, has been an integral part of Paytm since joining in January 2016 as General Manager of the Payment Gateway Business.
His leadership skills and technological expertise led him to become the Senior Vice President at Paytm Payments Bank in November 2020. In his current role as Senior Vice President (Technology).
In this capacity, he led AI-driven strategic initiatives and oversaw the design and implementation of various payment products and services. Rathore's extensive experience in the fintech domain and his focus on innovation through artificial intelligence have positioned him as a key figure in shaping Paytm's technological future.
The former CTO, Manmeet Singh Dhody, has been moved to a new position as an AI Fellow within the company, reflecting Paytm’s continued focus on artificial intelligence.
Rathore's promotion underscores Paytm’s commitment to enhancing its technological capabilities, especially in the fast-evolving digital payments space.
