Ahead of International Women’s Day on March 8, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a unique initiative in the 119th episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’. In an unprecedented move, PM Modi revealed that he will be handing over his social media accounts, including X and Instagram, to a few inspiring women who have excelled in various fields for a day. This initiative would allow these women to share their work, achievements, experiences, and challenges with the citizens of the country.
“This time on Women’s Day, I am going to embark upon an initiative for a day, which will be dedicated to our Nari-Shakti. On this special occasion, I will hand over my social media accounts like X and Instagram to some inspiring ladies of the country. Women who have achieved success in myriad fields; who have innovated and created a unique identity for themselves. On the 8th of March, they will share their work and experiences with the countrymen. The platform might be mine, but it will be about their experiences, their challenges, and their achievements,” Modi said in the 119th edition of his Mann Ki Baat radio show on Sunday.
PM Modi invited women to participate in this special initiative via the NAMO App and urged them to spread their messages globally.
"If you want this opportunity to be yours, then through the special forum created on the NAMO App, become a part of this experiment and spread your message to the whole world through my X and Instagram accounts. So on this women's day, let us celebrate and respect the indomitable power of women," he said.
