Redmi India has announced its partnership with Reliance Jio to conduct live 5G network trials, specifically conducted for the upcoming Redmi K50i, which will be launched on July 20. The Redmi K50i will be the first Redmi device to come equipped with 12 5G bands- n1, n3, n5, n7, n8, n20, n28a, n38, n40, n41, n77, n78.
Additionally, the trial also assessed the interoperability between Redmi India’s latest technology and Reliance Jio’s 5G network. The Redmi K50i was tested for 4K streaming and cloud gaming scenarios requiring high-speed and low latency. The device derives power from a 5,080mAh battery, supporting 67W fast charging.
The Redmi K50i is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chipset. The phone might feature a 6.6-inch IPS LCD display with a 144Hz refresh rate with a FullHD+ resolution. The phone is expected to get a standard triple camera setup with a 64MP main lens, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP macro lens. The front camera will use a 16MP selfie snapper.
