Samsung Electronics has announced the beta launch of Samsung Internet for PC, marking the company’s first major step toward a fully connected browsing experience across its Galaxy ecosystem. The move expands Samsung’s widely used mobile browser to desktop users, promising synchronized data, smarter browsing through AI, and robust privacy protections.
Available initially for Windows 10 and 11 users in the U.S. and Korea, the beta version of Samsung Internet for PC allows users to sync bookmarks, browsing history, and login credentials through Samsung Pass. This enables users to continue browsing effortlessly as they switch between their Samsung smartphones and PCs.
The browser also introduces cross-device continuity, allowing users to pick up where they left off when moving from mobile to desktop. This feature builds on Samsung’s broader vision of an interconnected ecosystem that bridges devices for productivity and convenience.
Smarter browsing with Galaxy AI
Samsung Internet for PC integrates Galaxy AI capabilities, including Browsing Assist, which can summarize and translate webpages instantly. Logged-in users can leverage these AI tools to navigate the web more efficiently and access information faster.
According to Won-Joon Choi, Chief Operating Officer of Samsung’s Mobile eXperience Business, this launch is “the first step toward Samsung Internet becoming a gateway to truly ambient AI across the Galaxy ecosystem.” Choi added that the company aims to redefine web interaction — moving from passive browsing to intelligent, personalized engagement — while maintaining strict data protection standards.
Privacy and security at the core
Built on Galaxy’s trusted privacy framework, Samsung Internet for PC includes smart anti-tracking to block third-party trackers and a Privacy Dashboard for real-time management of data protection settings. Samsung emphasized that the browser’s design ensures safety and reliability without compromising user trust.
Availability
The Samsung Internet for PC beta is available starting October 30, 2025, for Windows 10 (version 1809 and above) and Windows 11 users in the U.S. and South Korea, with global expansion plans expected in the coming months.
With this release, Samsung sets the stage for a more intelligent, secure, and seamlessly connected browsing future across its Galaxy devices.
