This strategic acquisition enhances SentinelOne’s Singularity Platform with real-time protection against AI-specific threats like prompt injection, data leakage, and agent misuse, addressing critical risks as enterprises rapidly adopt GenAI and agentic AI technologies
SentinelOne, the AI-native cybersecurity leader, has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Prompt Security, a specialist in securing generative AI (GenAI) applications at runtime. This strategic acquisition is designed to extend SentinelOne’s Singularity Platform by enabling real-time protection against AI-specific threats, such as prompt injection, data leakage, and misuse of intelligent agents—critical concerns as enterprise adoption of GenAI and agentic AI accelerates.
Prompt Security offers enterprises real-time visibility into AI usage across the organization, helping them understand who is using which tools, what data is being shared, and how AI agents are responding. Its technology integrates seamlessly with browsers, desktop applications, and APIs to deliver automated, real-time protection without disrupting workflows. This capability allows organizations to eliminate the risks of shadow AI and confidently use tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Cursor, and custom large language models, without sacrificing control, visibility, or security.
According to Tomer Weingarten, CEO of SentinelOne, the acquisition underscores the company’s commitment to enabling safe, scalable AI adoption. “AI is the most transformative force in the world today—but without security, it becomes a liability,” Weingarten said. “With Prompt Security, we’re making it possible for every company to fully embrace GenAI and agentic AI without compromising safety and security. This is the foundation for secure AI adoption at scale.”
Prompt Security’s approach delivers protection at the point of interaction, allowing organizations to detect and prevent threats like prompt injection, malicious output manipulation, and model abuse in real time. Its technology complements SentinelOne’s core offerings in endpoint, cloud, and SecOps, adding a new layer focused on AI interaction. The combined platform will offer model-agnostic protection across major LLM providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google, as well as support for self-hosted and on-premise models.
Itamar Golan, CEO and co-founder of Prompt Security, emphasized the shared vision between the two companies. “SentinelOne shares our passion for empowering teams and organizations to embrace AI as a distinct advantage, while delivering real-time, automated protection built for the AI-native world,” he said.
The acquisition is expected to close in SentinelOne’s third fiscal quarter of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions. The deal involves a combination of cash and stock and is positioned to help redefine cybersecurity for the AI-driven enterprise.
