Spotify experienced outage for several users

Spotify faced a widespread outage, impacting hundreds of users in multiple regions such as India and the US. Users took to X and Reddit to report that the app and website had not responded for roughly an hour. Reports of user errors on Spotify started to increase yesterday evening at 9:30 PM. The company responded quickly, acknowledging the downtime with an acknowledgement on X.

Downdetector, which is known for tracking outages through a range of sources including user reports via Facebook, X, Reddit etc, showed 40,515 affected users of Spotify in the United States. Several users reported about the outage on social media platform X and later on, Spotify acknowledged the issue on X and said that the company was looking into it.

Spotify said, “We’re aware of some issues right now and are checking them out!” According to Downdetector, 62% of the users reported the problem in the Spotify’s app, 26% reported it in the audio streaming while 11% said they were having trouble on the company’s website.
