2012-09-21
From its user conference, SUSECon, SUSE has released its systems management solution, SUSE Manager 1.7 for enterprise Linux environments.
Michael Miller, Vice-President, Global Alliances and Marketing, SUSE, stated, “It is an essential requirement for businesses of all sizes to manage Linux environments with the expectation to deliver high standards of service quality. As the systems management needs of the enterprise continue to grow, we have equipped SUSE Manager with new features and capabilities that will help our customers maintain a competitive edge.”
It is believed that this new enhancement will help customers grow their Linux deployments, while reducing both the total cost of ownership and complexity of managing Linux systems.
Moreover, the company states that SUSE Manager 1.7 is aligned with the latest version of the open-source project Spacewalk. In combination with SUSE Linux Enterprise Server with Expanded Support, SUSE Manager 1.7 delivers the same management capabilities for Red Hat Enterprise Linux as it does for SUSE Linux Enterprise Server
