Truecaller partners with Twitter
2013-12-13
To increase its user base and engagement in India, Truecaller has announced its partnership with social broadcast network, Twitter. Now, Truecaller users in India will be able to see if a number is connected with a Twitter account, and have the ability to tweet or follow a person directly through the Truecaller app. This represents the first time that Twitter content can be accessed in this way, leading to a more robust social experience for millions of users.
Truecaller’s partnership with Twitter signifies another way in which Truecaller helps users communicate with who they want, when they want. Through the integration with Twitter, users can now take advantage of expanded social features to streamline communications over Twitter’s platform instantly through the Truecaller app.
“Our partnership with Twitter is an unparalleled opportunity to enhance the Truecaller service and insert a more robust social element to the experience. With this new integration, a Truecaller user can instantly tweet back to a missed call that has a Twitter account connected to the phone number. This is especially valuable for users in India who are looking for a fast, free and reliable way to communicate,” said Alan Mamedi, CEO & Co-Founder, Truecaller.
Truecaller’s Twitter integration is currently available for Android users, with plans to expand to iOS in 2014.
