As per news report, in June, Vespa is likely to launch its fully-electric scooter, the Elettrica. This electric scooter has already made its debut at the 2020 Auto Expo, will be brought to our shores via the CBU (completely-built-unit) route.
The e-scooter promises a range of 100km and a top speed of 75kmph.
Elettrica comes with a retro-styled design featuring a neat front fascia, a flat seat, and rounded headlamp as well as mirrors. The blue-coloured accents around the wheels and body panels differentiate it from the fuel-powered models.
Furthermore, it also gets an all-LED lighting setup and a fully-digital instrument console that supports smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth.
The Vespa Elettrica packs an electric motor that is capable of producing 5.4PS of maximum power and 200Nm of peak torque (at the wheels). The motor is fueled by a 4.2kWh lithium-ion battery that can be charged in four hours.
Apart from that, the e-scooter promises a range of 100km on a single charge and has a top speed of 75kmph.
The official details about the pricing and availability of the Vespa Elettrica will be revealed at its launch event itself which is set to happen in June.
