The problem of data privacy was running around few months back with Facebook, WhatsApp and other third party who are working with the group companies. Many are thinking to switch over to other platform, but there was a fear factor that weather the friends, peers or the followers will also switch to the other platform along with us.
Now, it is an opportunity to them to switch over other popular platform like Telegram or Signals. WhatsApp has bitten own bullets. The recent report has come from the WhatsApp Web application for desktop, which has been alleged to expose personal mobile numbers of the app users via indexing on Google Search.

The concern is on when users are using WhatsApp on their laptops or PCs, the mobile numbers are getting indexed on Google Search. Although all the individual phone numbers appearing online are business numbers, the concern in on the private group chat links being available on Google Search came out, WhatsApp had reportedly asked Google not to index such chats and also advised users against sharing group chat links on publicly accessible websites. As reported by The New York Times, Many also mistakenly believes that the company could now read people’s conversations and other personal data.
All these rising concern at the global level, discrimination over Europe and India policy and the on time judiciary action from the court in New Delhi and huge members living out of the platform, expected about 100 million subscribers are to moving out of this platform..
WhatsApp postpones privacy update plan amid rising concerns, it says, it’ll give users time to review the policy and accept the terms of the Facebook-owned messaging app. The decision to postpone the privacy update has been taken due to “misinformation causing concern” among people, the company said in the blog post.
It further says, we’ll then go to people gradually to review the policy at their own pace before new business options are available on May 15 2021.
