“The last two years have accelerated the pace of innovation and digital transformation. In 2022, we will see this pace being sustained as organizations continue to navigate the effects of the global pandemic. In terms of technologies becoming mainstream this year, IoT is undoubtedly one of the most important application developments in recent years. This year will see increased adoption of IoT and will continue to penetrate our daily lives.
With the meteoric rise of Cryptocurrencies, Blockchain and distributed ledger technologies will see increased adoption by businesses. They will help organizations reimagine management of tangible and digital assets. We will enter the era of Web 3.0; the spatial web will be brought to the forefront. We will be interacting with smart devices that have intuitive and sensory triggers such as geolocation, computer vision, and biometric or commands. Digital information will exist in physical spaces, meaning that security breaches of such devices could lead to far-reaching consequences in the real world.”
