WPG becomes GIGABYTE’s Official Distributor

As per the latest update, GIGABYTE Technology (India) has entered into a distribution tie-up with WPG C&C Computers and Peripherals (India) Private Limited.

Headquartered in Taipei, Taiwan, WPG Holdings operates through four leading distributors of semiconductor components – WPI group, SAC group, AIT Group, and Yosun Group. It serves as a franchise partner for near 250 worldwide suppliers. With 6,000+ staff in over 130 sales offices around the world (about 80 in Greater China and Asia-Pacific region), WPG Holdings achieved US$13.6 billion revenue (unaudited) in 2013. It has been elected as “The Best IC Distributor in Asia” and ranked the top three IC component distributors worldwide.

The tie-up gives GIGABYTE Technology the opportunity to leverage WPG’s strengths as a major distributor of Intel CPUs, for providing the ideal CPU-motherboard combo solution to channel partners in the Do-It-Yourself (DiY) PC business.

The biggest beneficiary of the tie-up will be the two companies’ channel partners in the Do-It-Yourself (DiY) PC business, who will get access to the ideal CPU-motherboard combo solutions. This will be possible because of the fact that while GIGABYTE is the leading motherboard brand, WPG is an established distributor of Intel CPUs.
