Jaipur Robotics Raises €4.3 Mn

Swiss deeptech startup Jaipur Robotics has raised €4.3 million (around ₹48 crore) in seed funding to accelerate product development and international expansion, including India. The round was co-led by EquityPitcher Ventures and High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF), taking its total funding to nearly $6 million.

Founded in 2024 by Ermes Zamboni and Nikhil Prakash, Jaipur Robotics develops AI-powered computer vision systems for waste-to-energy (WtE) plants. Its technology uses industrial cameras, sensors and AI to identify hazardous or oversized objects before they reach furnaces and cause equipment damage or shutdowns.

The startup says its AI has been trained on more than 50 million labelled waste images. Its technology is deployed across more than 35 European facilities, analysing over five million tonnes of waste annually, with claimed hazardous-material detection accuracy of up to 99%.

Jaipur Robotics is now moving beyond detection towards crane automation, aiming to create an intelligent operating layer for waste facilities. Rather than replacing existing machinery, its software is designed to integrate with existing plant infrastructure and automate operational decisions.

India represents a significant opportunity. The company already has an engineering team in Bengaluru and plans to establish an Indian legal entity by the end of 2026. For India’s heavily manual waste-management ecosystem, such AI-driven automation could improve safety, reduce downtime and increase energy efficiency—demonstrating how industrial AI can transform traditional infrastructure into intelligent infrastructure.
