NTT DATA and Google Cloud have teamed up to merge AI, analytics, and cloud expertise, co-innovating scalable, industry-specific solutions for sectors like banking, healthcare, and manufacturing, backed by joint go-to-market investments to accelerate global adoption
NTT DATA has announced a global partnership with Google Cloud to accelerate AI-powered cloud innovation and deliver tailored enterprise solutions across multiple industries.
The alliance combines NTT DATA’s expertise in AI, cloud-native modernization, and data engineering with Google Cloud’s advanced analytics, AI, and cloud capabilities. The partnership will focus on co-innovation to create scalable, industry-specific solutions, backed by significant joint go-to-market investments to drive adoption in key markets.
According to Gartner, global spending on public cloud services is expected to reach $723 billion in 2025, up from $595.7 billion in 2024, with AI deployments increasingly driving reliance on modern cloud infrastructure.
Driving industry-specific AI solutions
The collaboration will target sectors including banking, insurance, manufacturing, retail, healthcare, life sciences, and the public sector. Solutions will integrate Google Cloud’s AI, including its Gemini models, with NTT DATA’s proven frameworks.
For instance, in financial services, NTT DATA’s Regla platform will leverage Google Cloud’s scalable AI for regulatory compliance and reporting. In hospitality, the Virtual Travel Concierge will offer 24/7 multilingual support, real-time itinerary planning, and intelligent recommendations, handling over three million monthly conversations.
Key focus areas include:
· Agentic AI solutions for analytics, decision-making, and client experience.
· AI-driven cloud modernization with Google Distributed Cloud.
· Application and security modernization through mainframe transformation, DevOps, and cybersecurity frameworks.
· Sovereign cloud innovation for compliant, secure deployments in sensitive sectors.
· Google Distributed Cloud sandbox for testing and accelerating deployments.
Expanding global delivery capabilities
NTT DATA has established a dedicated Google Cloud Business Group comprising thousands of engineers, architects, and consultants. The company plans to certify 5,000 engineers in Google Cloud technologies and invest in advanced training to strengthen delivery capabilities.
Both companies will also co-invest in sales and marketing initiatives to scale solutions across global markets. This builds on their 2024 APAC co-innovation agreement and NTT DATA’s acquisition of Niveus Solutions, a recognized Google Cloud specialist with multiple 2025 awards.
Client impact
The partnership is already delivering results. Carrefour, for example, has migrated over 380 workloads to Google Cloud with NTT DATA’s support, consolidating 100 legacy applications and modernizing its e-commerce platform. This transformation has enhanced agility during peak demand periods and enabled faster service launches.
By uniting NTT DATA’s delivery expertise with Google Cloud’s AI capabilities, the companies aim to help enterprises modernize operations, enhance customer experiences, and unlock new opportunities for growth.See What’s Next in Tech With the Fast Forward Newsletter
