Red Hat and Wipro join hands

With a view to building integrated solutions, Wipro has become the first Red Hat Premier Partner in India. The two companies have strengthened their strategic partnership through joint marketing and integration opportunities designed to bring open-source solutions to enterprises across the subcontinent. 

The objective is to build frameworks and platforms which can be readily replicated and customized by architects and developers tocreate solutions for industry verticals, including telecommunications, banking, financial services, insurance, government, defence and utilities industries. The partnership will also enable Wipro to better serve customers that are seeking to virtualize their environments, deploy supported open-source middleware for their applications and leverage cloud computing.

One of the key projects executed jointly by Wipro and Red Hat has been at the Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC). Wipro has been selected to implement ESIC's Project Panchdeep, which is aimed at improving healthcare services to its beneficiaries.
