New Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 glasses bring 3K video, upgraded Meta AI with Hindi support, longer battery life and new styles, while future updates will add creator-focused video modes and seamless UPI Lite QR payments.
Ray-Ban and Meta have introduced the Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 smart glasses in India, marking their latest push to blend iconic eyewear with advanced AI-driven features. Priced from ₹39,900, the second-generation model is now available at Ray-Ban India outlets and leading eyewear retailers across the country.
Enhanced camera, battery and performance
The new Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 comes with significant upgrades over the previous generation, including 3K Ultra HD video capture, Ultra-Wide HDR and improved low-light performance. Designed for creators, vloggers and everyday users, the glasses will soon receive Hyperlapse and Slow Motion modes through upcoming software updates.
The device offers up to eight hours of usage on a single charge and supports fast charging that delivers 50% battery in just 20 minutes. A lightweight charging case provides an additional 48 hours of power, making it easier for users to capture content throughout the day without worrying about battery drain.
Smarter Meta AI with Hindi support
Meta AI has been upgraded to offer faster, more natural interactions. Users can simply say “Hi Meta” to access information, recommendations, or creative assistance. A new “confusion mode” helps the AI interpret commands more accurately even in noisy settings.
In a major addition for Indian users, Meta AI now supports full Hindi interactions, enabling voice commands for photos, videos, notifications and messages. The glasses also introduce celebrity AI voices, including a Hindi voice experience featuring Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone.
New styles and UPI Lite integration coming soon
The Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 collection is available in three styles—Wayfarer, Skyler and Headliner—with fresh colour options such as Shiny Cosmic Blue, Shiny Mystic Violet and Shiny Asteroid Grey. The design continues Ray-Ban’s signature aesthetic while incorporating subtle hardware improvements.
A key India-first update is also on the way: UPI Lite QR payments directly through the glasses. Users will soon be able to look at a QR code and say, “Hi Meta, Scan and Pay,” enabling instant transactions via their WhatsApp-linked bank account—eliminating the need to reach for a phone.
With performance upgrades, broader language support and expanding payment capabilities, the Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 aims to position AI-powered eyewear as a practical everyday accessory for Indian users.
