Google’s new AI Plus plan brings expanded access to Gemini 3 Pro, upgraded creative tools and 200GB cloud storage, offering Indian users a mid-tier subscription option positioned between the free AI features and the premium AI Pro tier.
Google has rolled out its AI Plus subscription in India, a new mid-range offering positioned between the free AI tier and the premium AI Pro plan. Priced at ₹399 per month, the plan is currently available at an introductory rate of ₹199 per month for the first six months. The subscription can also be shared with up to five family members at no additional cost, making it a value-driven option for households adopting AI tools.
The service goes live across India starting today, marking Google’s attempt to strengthen its consumer AI subscription stack and directly compete with entry-level offerings like ChatGPT Go.
Enhanced access to Gemini, Nano Banana Pro and NotebookLM
AI Plus subscribers gain expanded access to Gemini 3 Pro, Google’s flagship AI model. While free users receive only basic access, AI Plus offers up to five times more usage, placing it well above the free tier but below AI Pro and AI Ultra. The plan also enhances access to Nano Banana Pro, Google’s latest model for image creation and editing.
The subscription further includes limited access to Veo 3.1 Fast, the company’s video generation model. For research and productivity, the plan unlocks increased capabilities in NotebookLM, enabling users to generate up to 20 presentation slides per day. Creative tools such as Flow, and integration with daily-use apps like Gmail, Docs and Drive, are also bundled in.
Includes 200GB cloud storage
In addition to AI features, the AI Plus package offers 200GB of shared cloud storage across Google Photos, Drive and Gmail. By comparison, AI Pro users receive 2TB, while the top-tier AI Ultra subscription offers 30TB.
Meanwhile, Google continues to run its promotional offer of 1.5 years of free AI Pro access for Jio users, widening its reach among India’s fast-growing AI user base.
