Pune-based firm bags Navy contract for development of underwater-launched UAV

A Pune-based firm has secured a contract from the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and the Indian Navy for the development of an underwater-launched unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV).

This advanced UAV is designed to be launched from beneath the water's surface, offering strategic advantages in naval operations and enhancing the capabilities of the Indian Navy.

The development of this innovative technology underscores the significant progress being made in the field of defense and unmanned systems in India. The Pune-based defence manufacturing firm, Sagar Defence Engineering, to develop an underwater-launched unmanned aerial vehicle (ULUAV).

This contract marks a significant step in advancing naval capabilities, as the ULUAV will be designed to launch from beneath the water's surface, providing strategic advantages in surveillance, reconnaissance, and other critical naval operations.\
