Targeting mass-market buyers, the new smart TV lineup combines popular screen sizes, AI-powered interface, and immersive audio-visual features, while leveraging festive sale offers to strengthen its position in India’s competitive budget television segment.
THOMSON has expanded its smart TV portfolio in India with the launch of its new Google TV 5.0-powered QLED Phoenix series, aimed at delivering an enhanced and accessible entertainment experience. The lineup is available in 32-inch, 40-inch, and 43-inch screen sizes—categories that continue to see strong demand across households and small businesses.
The new range is available exclusively on Flipkart, with prices starting at ₹10,999. The launch reinforces THOMSON’s strategy to focus on affordable smart TVs while integrating advanced features through its collaboration with Google.
Focus on smart features and user experience
Powered by the latest Google TV 5.0 operating system, the Phoenix series offers a personalised interface that aggregates content from multiple apps into a single, easy-to-navigate homepage. The TVs come preloaded with popular streaming platforms such as Netflix, Prime Video, and YouTube, along with access to over 10,000 apps via the Google Play Store.
The QLED TVs are equipped with Dolby-supported audio, 350 nits brightness, and multiple picture modes including Cinema, Game, and Low Blue, designed to deliver a balanced viewing experience. Additional features such as Chromecast built-in, Google Assistant voice control, Bluetooth 5.0, and dual-band Wi-Fi enhance connectivity and ease of use. The devices also include three HDMI ports and two USB ports, catering to diverse entertainment and productivity needs.
Competitive pricing and festive sale push
Under the hood, the TVs are powered by an ARM Cortex A55 quad-core processor, supported by 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage for smooth everyday performance. Features such as Miracast, fast boot, live channel support, and multiple connectivity options further strengthen the product offering in the budget segment.
“Entertainment preferences are evolving rapidly, and consumers are looking for smarter, and more connected experiences. We are grateful for our strong and long-standing partnership with Google, which has enabled us to bring advanced, intuitive technologies to Indian households. With over three decades of experience manufacturing world-class TVs, we, along with our technology partners have consistently worked to understand the market sentiments, and we know that 32-, 40-, and 43-inch screen sizes continue to be among the most in-demand, catering to both residential and commercial use cases. With our new Google TV 5.0 powered QLED lineup, we are bringing together advanced display technology, immersive audio, and a seamless smart ecosystem, making premium viewing experiences more accessible to a wider audience.” said Avneet Singh Marwah, CEO, SPPL, the exclusive licensee of THOMSON in India.
The TVs are priced at ₹10,999 for the 32-inch model, ₹15,999 for the 40-inch variant, and ₹16,999 for the 43-inch version. Buyers can also avail a 10% instant discount on SBI cards during purchase.
The launch aligns with Flipkart’s upcoming “Sasa Lele” sale starting May 9, 2026, where THOMSON plans to offer additional discounts across its product range, positioning itself strongly in the value-driven consumer electronics market.
