Vectra AI bags $130 million funding
The threat detection and response company, Vectra AI has announced a $130 million round of funding.
Blackstone Growth (BXG, "Blackstone Growth") led the round. The fresh fund will help fuel Vectra's continued growth through platform innovation and expansion into new markets and geographies, solidifying its Cognito platform as a market-leading solution for artificial intelligence (AI)-driven cloud security for threat detection and response. Existing investors also participated in the funding round, increasing the company's total funding to more than $350 million at a post-money $1.2 billion valuation.
Vectra is the leader in threat detection and response - from cloud and data center workloads to user and IoT devices. Its Cognito platform accelerates threat detection and investigation using AI to enrich network metadata it collects and stores with the right context to detect, hunt and investigate known and unknown threats in real-time. Vectra offers four applications on the Cognito platform to address high-priority use cases. Cognito Stream sends security-enriched metadata to data lakes and SIEMs. Cognito Recall is a cloud-based application to store and investigate threats in enriched metadata. Cognito Detect uses AI to reveal and prioritize hidden and unknown attackers at speed. And Cognito Detect for Office365 and Azure AD finds and stops attacks in enterprise SaaS applications and the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
