10th years of ISODA
The Infotech Software Dealers Association (ISODA) recently concluded its Annual General meeting in Mahabalipuram, near Chennai. In it’s 10th edition of the formation of ISODA, the overall atmosphere was that of joy and happiness. The vibes that came out of the gathering was there for everyone to see.
As per the protocol, existing Vice Chairman &Vice President took over as Chairman & President respectively. The Secretary and Treasurer were elected unopposed. New Vice Chairman & Vice President were chosen by unanimous voice vote. This was formally announced to all members present at the gathering by returning officer Prashant Jain, who presided the session.
N K Mehta - Managing Director, Secure Network Solutions became the Chairman, after being the Vice Chairman last year. Gunasegharan Krishnan - Director eCaps Computers became the President after being the Vice President last year.
Amarnath Shetty - Managing Director, LDS Infotech was elected as Vice Chairman and Manasi Saha - Managing Director,Macaws Infotech was elected as the Vice President. Vimesh Avlani - Proprietor Graftronics was elected as Secretary and Ravi Jalan - Proprietor, Sakti Enterprises was elected as Treasurer.
In addition, L Ashok - CEO, Futurenet Technologies, who was announced as the Tech Summit 9 Chairman in Malaysia presented his ideas about how Tech Summit 9 should shape up. He promised that he will soon send the location options and plan for execution to the members.
The achievements of the previous Management team were presented. Some key achievements included a very successful TechSummit 8 at Malaysia, increased acceptance to ISODA monthly Mouthpiece called Interconnect, addition of about 30 members across the country including newer states and cities and overall governance of working as a team. Some new chapters were announced and some dormant chapters came back alive.
After the elections and swearing in of the new MC,a very thrilling session was delivered by the Chief Guest and Keynote speaker Padma Shri T N Manoharan, Chairman Canara Bank. The topic “Learning from Satyam Fiasco ”gave the members a deep insight of Satyam fiasco and why entrepreneurs should run companies with ethics and integrity. He got a standing ovation for the superb session. This was followed by presentations from 2 Internal ISODA member sponsors. M/S XcellHost presented about SIEM-as-a-service and Systech Technocraft presented about a solution on VDI from Parallels. Day 2 saw another excellent opening session by Kumar Vembu, Founder ZOHO who shared his entrepreneurial journey and gave everyone tips on customer support and talent retention & management.
The AGM concluded with Canara Bank Senior executives giving presentation on SME funding options that are available to entrepreneurs. This was followed by member feedback & a vote of thanks.
