16th OITF Wraps Up with a Perfect Blend of Insightful Knowledge and Fun-filled Activities

The 16th edition of the OITF (Odisha Information Technology Fair) concluded on a high note, drawing an enthusiastic crowd from across industries. The event, known for its cutting-edge discussions on technology trends and innovations, successfully blended the latest in tech developments with an engaging atmosphere while keeping the attendees informed gave the opportunity for networking.

The theme of this years’ event was " Accelerating From Ideas to Innovation”. The event dedicated to the Tech Leaders and VARS of the Indian ICT Industry witnessed the gathering of more than 100 ICT members. The event was supported by OCAC, STPI and ITAO who have extended their support to the event.

The event kickstarted by the lamp lighting, which was graced by the presence of Hon’ble Shri Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, Deputy Chief Minister of Odisha, His Highness Maharajah Praveen Chandra Bhanj Deo- Maharaj of Mayurbhanj, Mr. Vishal Dev, IAS, Principal Secretary, Electronics & IT, Dept- Govt. of Odisha, Mr. Upendra Tripathy, IAS (Retd.)- Former Director General, ISA & Secretary, MNRE- GoI, Mr. Sarat Yadav, State Head, Odisha & Chhattisgarh- ICICI Bank Ltd. Padmashree Prof. Debi Prasanna Pattanayak, Ex- Chancellor- Centurion University and Mr. Bijay Sahoo, Group President, Strategic HR - Reliance Industries Ltd.

A Perfect Blend of Knowledge and Entertainment

The event featured insightful keynotes from Mr. Vishal Dev and Shri Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, who offered a comprehensive overview of the initiatives by the IT and Energy departments in driving the growth of the technology ecosystem. Their visionary leadership in Odisha's IT sector further strengthened the gathering's confidence in the state's progress.

This was followed by the unveiling of the 3^rd edition of the coffee table book "Jewels of Odisha". This edition highlights the achievements of 50 prominent personalities from Odisha who have brought pride to the state and played a pivotal role in shaping modern India. Featuring leaders and innovators from various industries, the book celebrates their significant contributions to sectors such as technology, business, arts, sports, and more, showcasing Odisha’s growing influence on India’s development.

The launch was followed by the corporate presentations, which included names like Mr. Debashish Jyotiprakash, M.D.- India, ASEAN, Japan & Korea- Qualys, Mr. Mohit Maheshpuria, G.M—Distribution-TP-Link India and Mr. Kundan Kumar Ray, Customer Success Lead- Sea Infonet. These thought leaders shared their insights on the future of IT, the importance of innovation, and how businesses can adapt to the rapidly changing technological landscape.

The grand finale of the event featured a prestigious awards ceremony to honor the winners of the 15th VARINDIA IT Cup 2025, held at the Jaydev College Ground, Bhubaneswar. Far more than a sporting competition, this tournament celebrates the essence of teamwork, resilience, and community spirit, fostering collaboration and networking among leading companies. It serves as a unique platform where competitive energy meets camaraderie, building enduring relationships and uncovering untapped potential.

This year, 16 leading corporates participated in the tournament, showcasing their talent and sportsmanship. The participants included BPO Convergence, Bhubaneswar Smart City, CSM Technologies, Curebay, E Square, E&IT Department, ESSPL, E&Y, GESIL, IBM, Innovare Cloud, OHHPRO, STPI, Tech Mahindra, Wipro, and World Skill Centre. 

The tournament not only brought out the competitive spirit of the participants but also created an atmosphere of mutual respect and friendship, leaving a lasting impression on all attendees.

The event announced the winners of the 15th VARINDIA IT Cup 2025. The winners are as follows:

Best Batsman of the Tournament: Mr. Priyaranjan Mahanty of ESSPL

The Man of the Series: Mr. Jalandhar Dash of E Square.

The most Disciplined Team: E & IT

Wipro Technologies was the Runner’s Up Team followed by this year's Champion Trophy won by Team E Square Technology Pvt. Ltd.

The 16th OITF was a resounding success, not only in terms of content but also in celebrating the state's contributions. Looking ahead, Kalinga Digital Media Pvt.
