Adani Group has announced plans to invest ₹800 crore in a new data centre in Bhubaneswar, marking a significant step toward strengthening Odisha’s digital infrastructure.
The facility will be developed at Info Valley and is aimed at supporting the growing demand for data processing, cloud services, and artificial intelligence-driven applications. The project is expected to generate around 200 jobs, both directly and indirectly, while positioning the city as a key technology hub in eastern India.
The investment is part of Adani Group’s broader ₹33,081 crore commitment to the state, which also includes projects in power and cement manufacturing. The data centre, however, represents the group’s push into digital infrastructure, aligning with the increasing importance of data-driven technologies in economic growth.
Speaking at the groundbreaking event, Karan Adani said the project would play a critical role in enabling future technologies such as AI and cloud computing, while also supporting digital governance initiatives in the region.
The facility is expected to provide the backbone for long-term digital capabilities in Odisha, as enterprises and governments increasingly rely on high-performance computing and secure data infrastructure.
The move highlights a broader trend of large industrial groups investing in data centre infrastructure across India, as demand for digital services, enterprise cloud adoption, and AI workloads continues to rise.
