The Mumbai-based technology firm introduces an indigenous AI platform designed to streamline legal workflows, accelerate document analysis, and enhance transparency across India’s legal and compliance ecosystem.
India’s legal technology landscape is set for a transformation with the introduction of CognexiaAI Legal, an AI-native platform designed to modernise legal intelligence and streamline complex legal workflows. The platform, unveiled at an event in Mumbai, is positioned as the country’s first homegrown system built specifically to support legal professionals, judicial institutions, and corporate compliance teams.
The launch ceremony brought together policymakers, legal experts, and industry leaders. Among the attendees was Meenakshi Lekhi, former Union Minister of State for External Affairs, who highlighted the growing need for indigenous digital infrastructure in strengthening India’s governance and judicial systems.
The platform, as per the company, has been designed to ensure that sensitive legal data remains securely stored within India while enabling faster analysis and improved decision-making through advanced artificial intelligence technologies.
AI-powered tools for legal workflows
At the heart of CognexiaAI Legal is a suite of AI-driven tools capable of processing large volumes of legal documentation. The platform uses proprietary large language models, workflow automation systems, and analytics engines to review and interpret legal data with high speed and accuracy.
One of its key capabilities is analyzing extensive charge sheets that may run into thousands of pages. Tasks that traditionally required weeks or even months of manual review can now be completed within minutes, allowing lawyers and investigators to focus more on strategy, interpretation, and case preparation.
Beyond document analysis, the platform also supports multiple legal functions including arbitration, regulatory compliance, corporate legal operations, taxation, and HR compliance. For businesses, the system offers faster contract reviews, automated compliance checks, and real-time risk assessment.
Indigenous technology built for scale
Speaking at the launch, CognexiaAI Founder and Chairman Dr. Nirmal Singh emphasized the need for India to develop its own intelligence platforms aligned with domestic legal frameworks. He noted that the company aims to move beyond conventional artificial intelligence toward a broader concept of “legal intelligence” tailored to India’s regulatory environment.
The platform is built on an Industry 5.0 architecture that combines AI models, digital twin frameworks, connected IoT systems, and intelligent automation within cloud-based infrastructure. This design allows the system to scale across law firms, government agencies, arbitration centers, and large enterprises.
Global expansion alongside domestic innovation
Alongside the product launch, CognexiaAI also announced major international business wins. The company revealed it has secured enterprise contracts worth ₹540 crore across Australia and New Zealand, spanning sectors such as construction, hospitality, manufacturing, automotive services, and healthcare.
These deals significantly expand the company’s international presence, with its client network now reaching nearly 15,000 organizations supported by over 5,000 global channel partners.
Industry analysts say the simultaneous introduction of a domestic legal AI platform and the announcement of major overseas contracts reflects the growing maturity of India’s artificial intelligence ecosystem. As demand rises for digital transformation in legal and compliance operations, AI-driven platforms like CognexiaAI Legal could play an important role in making legal processes faster, more transparent, and more accessible across the country.
