In 2024, Nvidia increased its venture capital investments, participating in 49 AI startup funding rounds—up from 34 in 2023, according to PitchBook. These figures don’t even include investments made through its corporate VC arm, NVentures, which also ramped up activity, engaging in 24 deals in 2024 compared to only 2 in 2022.

Its investment arm, Nvidia Ventures, identifies and funds promising startups while collaborating with venture capital firms to support AI-driven companies.

These investments directly benefit Nvidia’s ecosystem. For example, it helps train Cohere’s AI models with its powerful GPUs, supports Wayve’s autonomous driving technology, optimizes Hugging Face’s AI models for its hardware, and backs SoundHound’s AI-powered voice solutions. By supporting these companies, Nvidia ensures its technology remains at the heart of AI advancements.

Beyond financial gains, these investments drive innovation and strengthen Nvidia’s position in the AI market. As more startups integrate Nvidia’s hardware into their solutions, demand for its products continues to grow, reinforcing its leadership in the industry.
