OpenAI has introduced Pulse, a cutting-edge AI-powered morning briefing tool inside ChatGPT. Designed to keep users informed before they even start their day, ChatGPT Pulse delivers personalized morning reports directly to Pro users while they sleep.
Unlike the traditional chatbot experience, Pulse provides 5–10 tailored daily briefs that cover breaking news, business updates, personal agendas, and custom interests. The goal is to make ChatGPT a morning ritual, similar to how people use Google News, social media feeds, or email newsletters.
The launch of Pulse highlights OpenAI’s vision of turning ChatGPT into a proactive digital assistant. This aligns with other advanced features like ChatGPT Agent and Codex, moving beyond back-and-forth conversations to asynchronous AI support.
Fidji Simo, CEO of Applications at OpenAI, explained, “We’re building AI that takes elite-level personal assistance and makes it accessible to everyone. ChatGPT Pulse is the first step in that journey, starting with Pro users today.”
Currently, Pulse is rolling out to ChatGPT Pro subscribers at $200 per month, available as a dedicated tab in the ChatGPT app. Plus plan users will gain access in future updates as performance efficiency improves.
With Pulse, OpenAI is positioning ChatGPT as more than a chatbot—an AI-powered productivity companion that provides real-time insights, news summaries, and personal updates tailored to individual needs.
