The compact USB-C storage device is designed for laptops and tablets with limited internal capacity, offering high-speed file transfers and a “leave-in” design that allows users to expand storage without bulky external drives.
SanDisk has introduced its Extreme Fit USB-C Flash Drive in India, unveiling what the company describes as the world’s smallest 1TB USB-C flash drive. The new storage device is aimed at users who need additional space on laptops and tablets but prefer a compact alternative to larger external storage solutions.
The flash drive is built for professionals, students and mobile users who often work on lightweight devices with limited internal storage. According to SanDisk, the small form factor allows the drive to remain connected to a device without sticking out significantly, enabling users to keep it plugged in for everyday use.
The company said the device is suitable for transferring and storing large files, including videos, presentations and work documents, while maintaining portability for users who frequently move between work, study and travel environments.
Compact design and performance
The Extreme Fit USB-C Flash Drive features a low-profile design that sits nearly flush with the device’s USB-C port. SanDisk describes it as a “leave-in” storage option, allowing users to expand storage without worrying about disconnecting the drive frequently.
The device is available in multiple storage capacities, including 64GB, 128GB, 256GB, 512GB and 1TB. Models from 128GB up to 1TB offer read speeds of up to 400MB per second, enabling faster file transfers between devices. The 64GB variant supports read speeds of up to 300MB per second.
SanDisk said the drive is compatible with a variety of USB-C enabled devices, including modern laptops and tablets that rely on the port for connectivity.
The flash drive also integrates with the SanDisk Memory Zone application for Windows and macOS, allowing users to manage files, organise content and configure automatic backups.
Pricing and availability
In India, the Extreme Fit USB-C Flash Drive will be available exclusively through Flipkart. The company has announced several storage options with prices starting at Rs 2,049 for the 64GB version.
The 128GB variant is priced at Rs 2,799, while the 256GB model costs Rs 4,899. The 512GB version is priced at Rs 4,999, and the 1TB model is available for Rs 17,299.
SanDisk said the product is designed for users who want a portable way to expand storage on devices that depend heavily on cloud services or have limited internal capacity.
