Google's first foldable phone has been released in India with the debut of the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. It has an 8.0-inch internal screen, a 6.3-inch cover display, and a 4,650mAh battery with 45W charging. It costs ₹1,72,999. With a Tensor G4 chipset from Google, the tablet will be available on August 22 through Flipkart, Croma, and Reliance Digital.
Google's Pixel 9 Pro Fold comes with an 8.0-inch (2,076x2,152 pixels) LTPO OLED Super Actual Flex inner display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 2,700nits peak brightness. On the outside, there is a 6.3-inch (1,080x2,424 pixels) OLED Actual screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection, and the same peak brightness level as on the inside.
The device comes in two color options: Obsidian and Porcelain. The Pixel 9 Pro Fold runs on Android 14 out-of-the-box and is slated to receive seven years of Android OS, security, and Pixel Drop updates. It is fueled by Google's Tensor G4 processor and the Titan M2 security coprocessor.
The device supports connectivity options including 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth v5.3, NFC, GPS, UWB (Ultra-Wideband), and USB Type-C port. It also includes sensors such as an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope among others.
On the outisde, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold has a triple camera setup with a 48MP wide-angle main snapper, a 10.5MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 10.8MP telephoto lens. Meanwhile, the cover display features a 10MP camera.
The device offers several features exclusive to Google's phones including Add Me, Hands-free astrophotography, Wind Noise Reduction, Audio Magic Eraser, Macro Focus Video, Made You Look, and Magic Editor.
The Pixel 9 Pro Fold is priced at ₹1,72,999 in India and will be available in a single configuration of 16GB RAM and 256GB storage.
