Aadhaar card enough to access M-One

To make the Mobile One platform more secured and easily accessible, Karnataka government has planned to provide an option to login with just the Aadhaar card number. This step is expected to eliminate the need for the citizens to enter their number and a one-time password. The current login process has been cumbersome for many as it is time consuming and often fails.

Mobile One (M-One) is a first-of-its-kind mobile application that provides a single window for about 4,000 services. It was launched by the Karnataka government in December. Since its launch, around one lakh downloads of the application have taken place on Android and iOS platforms. M-One has received applauds. While some have shown interests to have such an application in their states, others have expressed their desire to have more such services on board. Despite the government's effort to promote the application, adoption in rural areas has not been encouraging.
