The consulting giant will upskill its workforce on Anthropic’s Claude AI, aiming to boost enterprise productivity, streamline operations, and introduce joint AI solutions in regulated sectors including finance, healthcare, and the public sector.
Accenture and AI startup Anthropic have announced an expanded partnership to train roughly 30,000 Accenture employees on Anthropic’s Claude AI model. The initiative reflects growing enterprise efforts to equip teams with artificial intelligence skills to enhance productivity, improve workflows, and support emerging AI-driven operations across industries.
The new program follows Accenture’s recent collaboration with OpenAI, where the firm plans to train hundreds of thousands of IT employees on ChatGPT Enterprise and integrate AI tools into corporate processes. “Our new partnership means that tens of thousands of Accenture developers will be using Claude Code, making this our largest ever deployment,” said Anthropic co-founder and CEO Dario Amodei.
Focus on AI for core operations and regulated industries
Consulting firms like Accenture are increasingly emphasizing AI deployment beyond chatbots, focusing on coding assistants, automated workflows, and multi-step task systems. This shift comes as clients seek to leverage AI to transform core business functions and increase operational efficiency.
Accenture and Anthropic also plan to introduce joint AI offerings tailored for regulated sectors, including financial services, healthcare, life sciences, and the public sector. These industries have historically faced slower AI adoption due to strict compliance and data-handling requirements, making tailored solutions critical.
In September, Accenture announced a six-month, $865 million restructuring to realign its workforce and operations toward digital and AI services, highlighting the company’s commitment to emerging technologies. By combining its consulting expertise with Anthropic’s AI capabilities, Accenture aims to accelerate enterprise adoption of Claude AI and support clients in navigating complex AI-driven transformations.
This expanded collaboration underscores the growing focus on workforce upskilling and AI integration, positioning Accenture at the forefront of consulting firms harnessing generative AI to deliver strategic and operational value to clients worldwide.
