Agentic AI refers to fully autonomous models capable of performing tasks without human oversight. In the wrong hands, these AI agents can infiltrate networks, gather intelligence, escalate privileges, and launch multi-stage attacks in minutes instead of hours. What once required a skilled hacker can now be carried out by automated systems operating continuously and at scale.
