Ahmedabad CISO Conclave Organized by NetProtector Focuses on AI-Powered Threats, Data Sovereignty
To strengthen India’s cybersecurity ecosystem, the indigenous cybersecurity company, NetProtector Cybersecurity hosted a Cybersecurity CISO Conclave and Masterclass on Cybersecurity & Compliance at Hotel Taj Skyline, Ahmedabad. The event witnessed the presence of top Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs), technology leaders, cybersecurity specialists, and compliance professionals from the BFSI and financial services sectors.
The conclave served as a platform for discussions on emerging cyber threats, evolving regulatory requirements, data sovereignty, cyber resilience, and the growing need for indigenous cybersecurity solutions to safeguard India’s critical digital infrastructure.
With a legacy of more than 33 years, NetProtector Cybersecurity has established a strong presence across government departments, defense establishments, armed forces, healthcare institutions, public sector organizations, and private enterprises. Addressing the gathering, Sanjiv Kela, Director, NetProtector Cybersecurity, emphasized the need for self-reliance in cybersecurity.

Emphasizing the importance of data sovereignty, Kela noted that all NetProtector solutions are hosted on Indian infrastructure, with plans underway to establish a large-scale data center in GIFT City.
“Data is the new strategic asset. Keeping critical information within India’s jurisdiction is essential for national security, regulatory compliance, and business continuity,” he added.
A key highlight of the event was a Cybercrime Awareness Session conducted in collaboration with officials from the Gandhinagar Cybercrime Branch. The session offered practical guidance on cybercrime reporting, digital fraud prevention, incident response, and cybersecurity best practices for both organizations and individuals.
The cybercrime officials emphasized the growing importance of public awareness and stronger collaboration between law enforcement agencies and cybersecurity providers to address the increasing threat of cyber fraud, ransomware, and AI-enabled attacks.
H. J. Parmar, Police Inspector, Gandhinagar Cybercrime Branch said, “The nature of cybercrime has changed dramatically with the advent of artificial intelligence. Fraudsters today are using AI-powered tools, deepfakes, voice cloning, and sophisticated phishing techniques to target individuals and organizations. Awareness remains the first line of defence. Citizens and businesses must remain vigilant and report suspicious activities immediately. Collaboration between law enforcement agencies and trusted cybersecurity partners is essential to create a safer digital ecosystem.”
The masterclass featured expert-led sessions by Kamashri Patel, Pankaj Darjee, and Nisarg Trivedi, who shared valuable insights into evolving cyber risks, compliance frameworks, governance strategies, and cybersecurity preparedness for organizations in BFSI sector.
Vishal Sharma, Head – Gujarat Branch, NetProtector Cybersecurity, said the conclave was designed to create a platform for knowledge-sharing among security leaders.

The conclave was successfully organized by NetProtector’s Pune and Ahmedabad teams under the leadership of Sanjiv Kela, Shaila Kela, Sumit Kela, Preeti Kela, and Vishal Sharma.
