Air India has become the first airline in Asia to integrate Apple AirTag with its baggage-tracking system and mobile app. This will allow customers with Apple devices to track their luggage securely. The new feature is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and Mac devices running on iOS 18.2, iPadOS 18.2, or macOS 15.2 or later. The integration aims to enhance the airline’s existing baggage-tracking capabilities, which already provide real-time updates via the Air India mobile app and website.
The integration also advances the airline in comparison to others regarding passenger convenience and security, with the company once more reassuring people of its commitment to embrace airline innovation and useful technologies while enhancing travel experiences for its customers.
How Air India Apple AirTag integration work?
Passengers can use the Bluetooth-enabled Air tag to track their bags using the ‘Find my’ application on their Apple gadgets. This kind of tracking brings about peace of mind for passengers as they have better control of their luggage.
Travellers are given the option to use an Apple AirTag to keep track of their checked-in bags. Once the AirTag is synced with an Apple device, the passenger is able to monitor the bag's position throughout the trip.
Using the 'Find My' application, the traveller can also receive real-time updates on the location of his or her bag.
