AKAI expands audio portfolio in India with new soundbar, Bluetooth speakers and party speaker series

The expanded audio lineup includes portable Bluetooth speakers, a compact soundbar and high-powered party speakers aimed at meeting growing demand for home entertainment, music streaming and live event applications, with products manufactured in India.

Japanese consumer electronics brand AKAI has expanded its audio portfolio in India with the launch of four new products, strengthening its presence in the country's fast-growing home entertainment and portable audio segment. The latest additions include the AKAI SB-24 Bluetooth Soundbar, AKAI BD-24 Bluetooth Speaker, and two PartyMate Series party speakers—PM-1400 TURBO and PM-2400 TURBO.

The company said the new range is designed to cater to a wide spectrum of users, from consumers seeking compact wireless audio solutions to those looking for high-powered speakers for parties, live performances and social gatherings. The launch also reflects AKAI India's continued focus on broadening its locally manufactured consumer electronics portfolio.

Portable audio devices target everyday entertainment

Among the newly introduced products, the AKAI SB-24 Bluetooth Soundbar delivers 24W RMS output through dual 2.25-inch drivers and features Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity. It includes RGB LED lighting, IPX4 splash resistance, True Wireless Stereo (TWS) pairing, USB, AUX and TF card support, along with Type-C charging. The soundbar houses a 2400mAh battery that offers up to five hours of playback and also supports hands-free calling through an integrated microphone.

The AKAI BD-24 Bluetooth Speaker is another portable offering featuring 24W RMS output with a 2.5-inch driver. Powered by a Class D switching amplifier, the speaker is designed to deliver efficient power consumption while maintaining high audio performance. It comes with Bluetooth 5.0, TWS support, USB, AUX and TF card compatibility, RGB lighting, a built-in microphone and a 3600mAh battery that provides up to five hours of playback.

PartyMate series focuses on high-power audio

For larger entertainment requirements, AKAI has introduced the PM-1400 TURBO, equipped with dual 8-inch woofers delivering 140W RMS output. The speaker supports TWS pairing, enabling two units to work together for a combined 280W stereo setup. It also includes a rechargeable wireless microphone, wired microphone input, RGB lighting, digital display and multiple connectivity options. A 4500mAh battery powers the speaker for up to four hours.

The flagship PM-2400 TURBO is positioned as AKAI's premium party speaker with 240W RMS output. Featuring dual 10-inch woofers and a dedicated tweeter, the speaker supports TWS pairing for up to 480W combined output. It also offers a dedicated guitar input, rechargeable wireless microphone with karaoke support, voice effects, RGB lighting and a 7200mAh battery delivering up to 4.5 hours of playback. The product carries an MRP of ₹29,990 and is aimed at home entertainment as well as live event applications.
