With ITDMs facing the economic realities of deploying AI at scale, AMD launched the new AMD Client Tokenomics Calculator to help them better understand usage costs and optimize budgets.
The calculator helps enterprise IT leaders directly compare the cost of running AI workloads across cloud-only, local, and hybrid deployments and provides insight into how the economics shift based on their AI usage and infrastructure strategy.
Users can customize a wide array of variables (including team size, token usage, cloud AI models and deployment mix) to assess:
· Expected total cost of ownership and forward-looking cumulative spend comparisons up to five years
· Local and hybrid break-even timelines compared with cloud-only deployments
· A recommended deployment path based on the lowest estimated cost
· A suggested AMD hardware configuration for the modelled workload
The launch comes as enterprises assess the economics of moving AI workloads beyond experimentation and into broader production use, where compute consumption, model selection and deployment architecture can have a significant impact on overall costs.
