Amit Dhawan made an exit from Birlasoft and joined Quantiphi as Chief Information Security Officer and Data Privacy Officer. He will be based in Mumbai and will report to Co-founder of Quantiphi Ritesh Patel.
In his new role as a CISO, he will be leading the cyber security initiatives and will be responsible for the cyber security posture of the organization across the globe. He will also be leading the data privacy function and ensuring that Quantiphi equates with all regulatory mandates at all geographies.
Previously in Birlasoft, Dhawan served as CISO & DPO and was associated with the company for more than three years. As part of the multibillion-dollar diversified CK Birla Group, Birlasoft combines the power of domain, enterprise, and digital technologies to reimagine business processes for customers and their ecosystem.
Dhawan is an ex-defence personnel and has served the Indian Navy for many years. He was also the Joint Director where he headed the Computer Incident Response Team (CIRT).
He has also worked with companies like JPMorgan Chase and Skillmine Technology Consulting in the past. Dhawan has been involved in various information security projects and is skilled in Risk, Computer Forensics, Security, Project Planning and Team Management.
