The Anita Borg Institute has announced the opening of its Call for Participation in its 4th Annual Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing India. The conference will feature keynote speakers, panels, workshops, technical posters, a woman-led Hackathon, Women Entrepreneur Quest, and birds-of-a-feather sessions.
Geetha Kannan, India Head, Anita Borg Institute, expressed, Our conference theme ‘Together We Rise’ encourages women in computing to collaborate across many different facets of the industry to create a larger and stronger network of women within the technical community.
Geetha added, We are extremely thrilled at the level of enthusiasm we have received from speakers, sponsors and attendees for this unique conference. We look forward to bringing together the many women technologists in the Indian technology sector for a substantive discussion and providing them a platform to showcase their work, get access to the best brains in the industry and become leaders with the next generation of disruptive ideas for information technology, business and innovation.
The Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing India committee encourages both technical and professional topics for submission that reflect the conference theme "Together We Rise" which can be exemplified through innovation within a company, from the academic world, or from individual contributors. In line with the theme, technical submissions that promote women's solidarity and resilience are encouraged.
Topics of the conference will include Internet of Things, Machine to Machine Computing, Confluence of Social, Cloud and Mobile, Security and Information Management, Big Data, Semiconductor and Nanotechnology, Networking, Ubiquitous Computing, Low-powered Processors, Internet Technologies and Services, High-performance Computing and Advances in Computer Hardware.
