Anthropic has appointed Jai Gidwani to its founding go-to-market (GTM) team in India as the artificial intelligence company continues to strengthen its presence in the country. Gidwani announced the development in a LinkedIn post, stating that he will be part of the India team led by Irina Ghose.
Sharing the announcement, Gidwani said: "Happy to share that I've joined Anthropic as part of the founding GTM team in India, under Irina Ghose's leadership. It's an exciting time to be building in AI, and I'm looking forward to contributing to Anthropic's mission of developing AI that's safe, reliable, and genuinely useful."
Brings enterprise business development experience
Before joining Anthropic, Gidwani spent more than two years at GitLab, where he progressed from Business Development Executive to Senior Business Development Representative. During his tenure, he was involved in enterprise business development initiatives.
Earlier, he worked at MuleSoft, supporting the company's enterprise business development efforts and expansion strategy in India. His professional experience also includes business development and sales roles at Hevo Data and Zycus.
Gidwani holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Thadomal Shahani Engineering College. His appointment comes as Anthropic continues to build its India operations and expand its go-to-market capabilities in one of the world's fastest-growing AI markets.
